There is probably nothing that accelerates the fantasie of a diver more, than a wreck dive. The outlines of a sunken ship which emphasize themselves slowly, the individual mystical impression. Even when one floats several metres over the superstructures, the great feeling of weightlessness connects itself with adventure.
However, in order to explore the inside and the areas of the wreck, and maybe find old, sunken articles, you should have a certain know-how, which this course mediates to you.
In preparartion of this specialty you can watch a short video beforehand.
What you learn in this specialty:
- Preparation
- Estimating dangers
- Handling of the reels
- Fin style and courses of motion when wreck diving
- Mapping
The course consists of two different parts and lasts 2 days.
The following conditions must be fulfilled:
- Brevet: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Minimum age: 15 years
- Medical certificate: yes, not older than 1 year
According to the learning standards, every candidate has to have his own latest manual. If you want to get it by your own before travelling or if you order it here - you decide of course.

Starting from the 15th May `05, the egyptian government has introduced a reef tax. Similar to a cure tax in german health resorts, in Egypt is a tax (2,- € per Person/day) charged, if participating at a boat trip. In order of government this tax is collected locally.
The known regulations concerning the tax for visiting egyptian national parks endure. The egyptian government charges 3,- € per Person/day if a boat trip leads on to a national park. Also this tax is collected locally.
